trigger label suggestion (A&B section)
 

I know a while ago there was a thread in the A&B section for suggestions, but I cannot find it... been looking for a while now...


but, I have been thinking... I know there is an "abuse" trig label and a "sexual abuse" one, but there isn't a "sexual abuse/abuse" one... and a few times I have wanted to start a thread that includes both sexual and physical abuse... I was just wondering if a trigger label that includes both would be possible?

I think it's good idea too, I think a lot of posts could fall under both.

i don't understand, though, why there is a separate "sexual abuse" trigger label but not one for "physical abuse" and "emotional abuse".

I don't know... I guess that they decided that "sexual" and "physical" had very specific triggers so have the "sexual abuse" trig and the "abuse" trig, but no idea (and never thought about... as awful as that is to admit) the lack of an emotional abuse trig... I think people currently use the "abuse" one for both physical and emotional

currently there is:

sexual abuse
abuse
sexual abuse/si
abuse/si
adult
sexual abuse/suicide

(should I be worried that I knew them without checking?)




I've had a few ideas about improving on these... but I'm not sure if anythings in the pipeline and don't want to step on anyones toes ars it were... also I wasn't sure if there was a limit to how many trigger labels there can be... but I feel that one combining different forms of abuse and one for abuse/suicide would be good... also... maybe a bullying trigger?

The CT/mods are working on a new set of trigger labels. Ther will be less trigering for x/trigering for y labels if i remember corectly. I will put a link to this thread in the CT board though. You however can always put *TRIG ABUSE* in the thread name along with the Sexual abuse tag.

I will send this down the pipe line. The last time i checked you can have 50 or so labels max.I like the idea for a bulling label. :-) Its better for you to propose new ideas then stay silent.

that's what I have been doing... but just thought I would bring it up as I was concerned that toehrs may have the same issue but if they haven't spent as much time in the section as I do may feel uncomfortable posting something that has no specific label... like feel that as there is no label for it then it doesn't belong there or whatever...

Didn't there used to be a graphic label as well? I am sure there was on v2 at least.

I think "graphic" makes more sense than "adult" to be honest... don't think I've ever seen the adult one being used in there...

As Tom says the CT team and Mods have been looking at this issue.

We are nearly at a close with it and we are trying to streamline it to encourage appropriate uses of the board.

I will be making a thread in the next few days announcing the changes and will then go on to update the labels by next weekend :)

will there be a chance for non-ct member to feedback on the new labels? mand x
