Scared... Accidental OD? *pos ED trig as well*

Ummm sorry, I don't exactly know who to contact with this question....

Basically, I think I may have accidentally OD'd on a pain medication. I'm not sure really.... as I don't know what constitutes a true OD, like what the max dose of this drug is.

I picked up this pain med today, for my mouth since that has been getting worse. I've had this med before so I doubt it's an allergic reaction. I was in a lot of pain tonight and couldn't sleep so decided to take 2 tablets instead of just one. I think I've taken the same doseage before in the past (have used this one as recreational before) but I'm not 100% sure on that, since these tablets are a higher strength than I thought there were too... and was fine in the past when I've had this drug, but I'm worried if because I haven't eaten since Sunday (and only had shaved ice then.... oh, and a bit of a coffee drink today, but it's been at least a month I think since I've had solid food), can that cause an OD more easily?

I honestly was not attempting to OD. I just took 2 of these pills, if I wanted to OD I obviously would have taken more.... It's made me REALLY sleepy, which the drug does, but I keep getting startled and waking up suddenly gasping for air.... my pupils look fairly normal, but I typically have wide pupils, they're smaller than normal for me, but average for most people.... my pulse is weak and bp is low, but that's normal for me (I have heart problems). I feel like I'm gonna vomit tho haven't yet actually, feel real faint, can't stand up without nearly passing out, just generally unwell and anxious and moody.... I don't wanna call emergency or anything like that, because I'm afraid they'll lock me up in the hospital. What if they don't believe I wasn't trying to kill myself, because I have fresh cuts on my arms? I honestly wasn't tho.... I just wanted the pain to go away and I wanted to be able to sleep. I see the dr anyway in 6 or so hours.... can it wait til then? Is it okay to sleep or do I need to force myself to stay awake? As hard as it was, I was able to get myself to drink 8 oz of orange juice and eat 2 ounces of applesauce I know it ain't much but it feels like a LOT my stomach feels full and bloated now it was hard to eat that much partly cuz of my ED and partly cuz my mouth has this huge sore in it that's been there for 5 or 6 weeks now, and it's been getting bigger and I've had to remove some necrotic tissue from it (this is what i'm seeing the dr for tomorrow), and with something like that it's hard to eat even if ya didn't have an ED.... I hate myself for consuming all those cals tonight, but at the same time I am just so scared.... cuz I don't wanna die or have anything bad happen to me. I should probably mention all this to the dr when I see her, but do you think she'll understand or will she force me into the hospital? Would I sound crazy or sound like I was lying if I told her I was concerned I took too much medicine but it was an accident?

You doctor wil believe you. They cant just "lock you up"
Even if a doctor thought that you had OD'ed on purpose which is highly unlikly, they would firstly ask you to speak to someone So dont be afraid of telling them the truth.

As for the medication, it would depened on what it was. I m sorry that I was not online earlier to answer this, ohwever if you want to pm me with the information about what you took and yourcurrent medical condtions, I should be able to disscuse things easier with you.

Take care
Kim

I've accidentally overdosed a few times, and ended up in A&E. They've always been pretty good about it, although depending on the amount i have sometimes had to talk to the duty psychiatrist, but that's been just a formality. I think accidental OD's on painkillers are more common than we realise, so they should be fine about it.

It's better to get checked out if you're concerned. They certainly won't, as Kim said, lock you up. Hope you're ok xxx

I accidently OD'ed on Ibuprofen, we changed from 100mg tablets to 400, so instead of taking 400mg i took 1600mg, wasn't too great, i'm sure the A&E will understand though.
