Navane (thioxetine) & new psych

so i finally got a psych that listens. he listened to the stuff about paranoia, dissociations and stuff. and how i talk to myself. (i didn't even know that was an issue) of course he doesn't know exactly what's wrong with me, but at least we're starting. he put me on navane (2mg) in addition to my seroquel (200mg) and zoloft (100mg). He wasn't like trying to over medicate me like some psychs, but he also listened to me and took the time to try and think what might work best for me. so i'm glad that's happening.

i looked up navane cause i've never heard of it and i guess it's mainly for schizophrenia (which i haven't been diagnosed with but i do have psychotic symptoms so maybe that's why) or for dissociation/depersonalization. I definitely have issues with the latter so maybe this will help.

so anybody here been on it? what kinda side effects did you get? he said to take it at night, so i'm guessing drowsiness. all the other ones seemed fairly typical side effects.

I've never taken that medication (or heard of it) but I'm glad you've found a psych that listens. Good luck with everything! xxx

yeah now i've been getting really tired in the evening though but then not sleeping as much at night, whereas seroquel used to knock me out cold at night. It seems like my heart is beating fast, but my mom took my pulse (she's a nurse) and said it really wasn't. It worries me because I don't wanna be a zombie and I'm on a tiny dose so far, but I don't wanna make another appt cause I wanna give this a chance to work, plus I mean, all meds have side effects. I will tell my psych when I see him in a month, but I'm tired of being tired. lol and it seems like it annoys my bf that i get so tired.
