Meds - amisulpride / citalopram / procyclidine

So I'm on new meds amisulpride + citlopram and the dr give me procyclidine for tremmors. (any experience on these good or bad??)

Anyhoo, i took 100mg of amisulpride about 6pm before tea
About 7:30 i took 20mg of citalopram
And soon after i have began jerking about, and shaking of arms and jerking my feet about.
I took a procyclidine about 9pm.

Also after taking an antipsychotic i was expecting to feel tired and sleepy but im kinda wide awake and jerking about!!!

Been on citalopram, did nothing for me.

I hope your meds help you.

The side effects should go after a couple of weeks.

I had a bad experience with procyclodine, it made me go seriously loopy.

Thanks for your reply control freak. (What has worked for you btw??)

I was aware there would be tremmors because tahts why she give me the procyclidine (one 14 tabs though - i take one when needed) but i didnt expect to be jerking all over after one dose??!

Bear, what happened? x

I'm onn citalpram, and for me it works but i know its different for everyone

Bear 30-03-2009 10:37 PM

Well I'm certainly not saying it'll do this for you, but I got a bit confused (ok, drunk) and took one thinking it was something else, then took another one. But I was completely out of it for about two days (hallucinating) and had really really really bad muscle stiffness.
So definitely don't take more than one, take it with alcohol, or take it without your other meds.
I was a bit off it at the time anyway so I think that added to it :P

I'm on Citalopram, it's alright, not bad. Though I hate taking it. The others I've never taken. xo.

Thanks anyone, has anyone been on amisulpride and experienced the involuntry jerking and twitching movements??x

Sarika 31-03-2009 12:38 PM

You really need to talk to your doc as these jerking movements can become permanent (it's a serious side effect).

sherlock holmes 31-03-2009 02:31 PM

Mirtazapine helped me, and trazodone.

Steel Maiden 31-03-2009 02:47 PM

I'm on Amisulpride and it does nothing for me but I have to wait before I get my dose increased (I'm on 300mg now and will go up to 750mg eventually). But Procyclidine really helped me when I was on the Clozapine and had really bad side effects, but believe me, don't take too many.

Bear, I believe you went loopy because the Procyclidine is like an anti-anti-psychotic, so it can do that to some people. I took too many once and went into a psychotic fit and started hallucinating really badly etc.

My Mum was on Citalopram once and she got headaches from it =/.

The Amisulpride is making me a little tired, I suppose.

I'm on Citalopram, and had side effects for three days...three days after I started taking it, and that was it, lol. Drowsiness from hell, feeling sick, and I think that was pretty much it.

That aside, it's done bugger all for me =D!
