looking for scars
When I'm out or even in my dorm and people are wearing short sleeves or shorts I tend to look at there arms or legs to see if there are any scars or signs of SI... Am I the only one who does this.. I feel weird and haven;t noticed any but know then when I do I'll feel better..Am I weird???? or does anyone else do it
I do this sometimes. *Hugs*
You are not alone. I do it too wherever I go.
So no you're not weird, I think it's just to know that somewhere you have seen someone who knows what you're going through, to know that you're not the only out there... I mean yeah we know we're not because of RYL and other places....but yeah. |
Im the same
xxxx |
I do this, not intentionally, but I seem to notice every mark on a person's arms and wonder.
i do this too. you're by no means alone!
i don't even realise half the time that i am doing it. i think a part of me wishes that i'll find something to show me that i'm not alone. *hug* x |
*hugs*
I do it without reliasing sometimes. xxx |
sometimes I do, and I even think when i see scars "Oh, yes! i'm not alone!"
yes i do this so much, even though i know i'm not alone because of RYL, i still feel alone in my local area. i'm constantly looking at peoples arms to see any kind of mark.
i saw a girl walking down the street with her friends the other day she was the only one in her group wearing long sleeves and i thought 'she could SI, she could be just like me. I'm not alone' i don't even realise i'm doing it i'll just catch myself staring at peoples arms, hoping to see something. so you are most definately not alone. *hugs* |
I also do that, it doesn't make you weird. I think it's 'common' for self-harmers to do this. Take care. xo.
I do it too. Often infact, I guess I want to feel like I'm not alone.
Very common thing to do.
Ya, I do this too. I don't even realize that i do it.
I go beyond that
One friend of mine had several scratches across her hands and arms, and i freaked out. Her responce: "what, are you emo or something. Chiiilllllllll i have a f*cking cat" |
I do the same thing. Always. I have noticed a few cuts and scars but nothing serious. Nothing like the ones on my arm. And no, ur not weird :P
I do this.
I'm so used to wearing long sleeves that I stare at people in short sleeves, wondering "Where are the scars?" |
Thank you everyone. ^ I think the same thing when I don't see the scars... I;m like "wow that arm is so, clean. No scars...huh".... Thank you everyone
I'm always looking, everywhere I go. Have never seen anyone with them, but I do kind of wonder about people with long sleeves. Also, if I cut on my arms, my main excuse is that 'people often have scratches on their arms for no reason, so mine will be easily explained away'. But I never see anyone with anything similar...
I do this all the time at school. When the sun comes out and everyone whips there jumpers off you can tell the kids who cut by there discomfort and the fact they still have there jumpers on despite dripping with sweat. Theres a few whos arms I have seen that look badly scarred and then theres one girl who just walks around with arms that are covered in fresh cuts. The same girl often has a gash across her throat, poor thing. I sorta know her through a friend so does anyone think it would be appropriate to tell her about RYL.
I do it, I kind of feel better when I do see them, but then I think about what made them there and feel sorry for them for having to do it to themselves... hypocritical?
