Depressed

I don't know why I am having such a hard time right now but I am severly depressed and can't seem to get myself out of it. I really don't know what to do here. It seems my depression keeps getting worse and I am not sure why, I wish I could be happy.

Hi - really sorry to hear that. I know what it's like as I have had to battle against depression a lot over many years and it is so so rough sometimes.

I just read some of your other posts so I realise that like me you've tried many things without much success.

In terms of treatment suggestions I don't know how many of the following you have looked into?

-CBT, CAT or DBT therapies. (I have had bad experiences with therapy too, but found the first 2 of these somewhat useful. Not had DBT)
-St Johns Wort
-Omega 3 fish oil supplements
-increasing the amount of exercise you do
-light box if lack of light in winter makes it worse
-accupuncture
-mindfulness training (Look up Jon Kabat-Zinn if you don't know about it. The UK national health service are using it now so it's becoming quite recognised.)

I'm not trying to tell you "do this, do that, and it'll all be ok" though. I hate it when people do that to me, and I do know how frustrating it is when you really work at treatments and your problems are long term.
xx take care

Hey hun *gentle hugs* I'm sorry your struggling so much at the moment. Things that you can do to try and lift your mood are things such as exercising regualrly and eating a balanced diet and keep socializing. If you haven't got any support as in professional support, I would definately recommend it as talking to someone outside out the situation can really be helpful.
I really hope things look up soon :)

Thanks

Thanks everyone,

I just feel terrible at the moment, I have pressure on my forehead and I actually feel dizzy and unable to think straight. I should try exercising as I am sure it will help. I think I might feel better if I just go to sleep. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day?

Yes tomorrow has ever chance of being a better day :)
Just try and take one day at a time so you don't overwhelm yourself.

My depression and emotional pain has become worse after I finally got off the vicodin, I think it caused perminent damage. It was the hardest withdrawl I ever dealt with and I have never felt right since. When my normal feelings of depression come on it's like twenty times worse.

Hii,
I'm sorry to hear that. *HUGS*
Could you maybe get some professional help and support? Go to your GP? Take care. xo.
