sporadic PM box malfunction (seems to be with staff only)
 

I have brought this up before (but deleted it) but this is really starting to affect me in a really negative way...

Basically, I think that my PM box only works sporadically, but only with staff. I hope I'm making sense. I can send and recieve PMs from other members no problem (as far as I'm aware) but I seem to get nowhere when PMing mods sometimes.

I don't know what to do.

Please help.

Is it just the mods you have trouble with? Because I'm a member of staff - try PMing me.

What exactly does it do? Just not get through?

I think the only person who can help you is James or Harley. They're the administrators.

It might just be that the staff members you have pmed have been very busy and haven't had time to get round to replying to your pm yet-I remember getting paranoid about this ages ago and it turned out to be just that.

I have friends who are on the CT and they seem to get my PMs fine.

Its been weeks, and I've PMed them again asking if they recieved my first PM and still heard nothing.

I PMed james, but I don't know if it got through.

Technically I'm not a CT member though (according to my profile! But I'm still a member of staff. Try PMing me.

Either that, or if it's a pressing issue, you can Post Report a thread, which the mods will then get. If it turns out to be a real issue, you could always email us.

Ive recieved the PMs youve sent me, but I sent you PMs back so I think you know that.

Its 2 mods in particular (not sure if I can mention who)

^ It's highly likely that they're just busy that's all, and not the PM boxes functioning incorrectly - because Liv seems to have been able to get your PMs and has replied.

You can always PM me to test it out, but I doubt if it's anything other than the people you've PMed not getting around to replying.

That wasnt my intention. This situation is causing an awful lot of anxiety. If it looks like guilt tripping then I sincerely apologise.

I'm going to come right out and say there is no problem with your PM box. It works fine. Staff are often very busy and may not be able to reply to your PM immediately. They may also be offline and not see it, or may need to talk to someone else before replying. They may have read it, and then been called away and forgot to reply. They may not realize that you were expecting a reply if you were just reporting something.

There are many reasons you may not get a reply right away, but it has nothing to do with your PM box, or some software malfunction.
