As far as I know from using the search box, this doesn't exist yet, so being me, I thought I'd create it.

As students, there is a lot we go through, but often, the unacknowledged side of uni is all that damned work, so I won't be surprised if there is a fair few of us on here. Hence this topic, erm, yeah, be studenty, you know you want to.

I have too many essays. Epic fail.

word. but i have the next two weeks off to do mine (Y)

oh & over here uni is called college.

Work is not going well.
It's just deadline after deadline that won't be met..

I've missed a week's worth of lectures, less said about that the better.

That is combined with not having started my essays, I swear my department is run by sadists who like to put everything on the same deadline.

i have an essay to do.
and lots of other stuff not fun.

i want it done but i dont want to do it.

uni is exciting because you get to be away from home!

The unacknowledged side? Isn't work the whole point of going to uni?

^^^ that's what I thought Heidi but I do agree it can be a pain in the back side! I've had to ask for an extension for my essay as it's due tomorrow and I've kinda only done 300 words :/ Stupid brain not working!

aaargh...... I have far too much work. so, 8,000 words for the 24th and another 6,000 for after easter. Plus, whenevr I try and write I just sound like an idiot.

well, when you think about the general perception of students amongst the general public, we mess up their streets in the areas they live, we drink heavily and have loud parties and we have too much free time.

yeah it pisses me off when people think thats all you do - party.

You cant do that in your final year, its far too much work to do, and so little time to do it.

I can't do that in my 1st year! I swear our timetable is the worst out of all the degrees at my university. 30 hours is just not right. Negative marking is DEFINITELY not right. 6 hour labs twice a week are just plain insanity. I have to plan about a weak ahead when I go out, and it's usually just one night after which I have to do MORE work on a bitchin' hangover.

im only in 10hours a week and im struggling with just that, in 3 weeks iv attended 5 out of 30hours =S
and iv got 2 overdue essays so i can only get 40% and one that i cant even get marked cus its over two weeks late
so, yeh, im struggling quite a bit right now. i think i need to email my personal tutor and explain about my depression etc and ask my head of department for some extensions...but i feel bad asking for extensions =S

And i thought i had it bad.
I don't have many hours in uni, but the amount of reading/ seminar work/ coursework/ essays i'm supposed to do without a reading week is ****ing ridiculous.

& can i just say....student loan=Gone.
It's a bad bad time.

i have hardly any contact hours
all mine is reading and researching in own time
which means you have to be good at planning your time really
which is where i find the problem.

my planning sucks and i underestimate how long it takes to do things

Yay uni... I have to start planning my lovely dissertation "Eutrophication processes in shallow bottom lakes in the Norfolk Broads" Oh the joy.

i don't even know what the meeeeeeeeans!
