WHAT DO YOU THINK?! help with a painting!
 

im doing a painting... and it has a ribbon in it.. and originally i was going to make it orange.. for SI awareness... then i was thinking about making it turquoise (addiction awareness) fading to orange.. fading to yellow (suicide awareness) but i was thinking, thats just gonna get too much like a rainbow... and addiction might just cover the whole spectrum of SI, eating disorders, drug use, everything. you know? can i get some input ASAP! bc i want to finish and want to know what you all think?

I don't think it looking like a rainbow would be bad. I mean, even if it was orange, most people don't know that orange is the SI awareness colour anyway so if you were thinking of showing it to people, either way you'd have to explain it means SI awareness (or addiction, suicide etc whatever you choose).

It won't look like a rainbow if it's only three colors! I think it'd look cool with all three. :P

-nodders- 3 colours! Just dont make it dodgy, coz then it'll go blue-crappy mixed browny colour-yellow-crappy mixed browny colour-orange.

Yellow-to-orange sounds better

Orange to blue doesn't fade well. They're contrasting colors, so the overlap would be brown

I think you should get some ribbon and just play around dying it and stuff to see what gets the best effects.
If you're doing the painting for school or college or something, that would be good for development aswell (:

thanks for all of the input.. i actually think im gonna stick with a purely tourquoise ribbon... and do green to lime green to yellow to orange in the background for depression, mental health, suicide, and si. i will be sure to post asap. its oils though.. they take centuries to dry.. and imi kind of doing layers.. so i'll let you know!!!
