Bipolar

Those are symptoms of bipolar depression or depression in general but I would still go to a doctor
I'm bipolar it sounds more like depression
unless you have manic times?

The bits you have posted above are depression symptoms. Best idea is to discuss it with doctor. Just say " I think I may have depression or something similar". Then they will ask you questions.

Don't know about the situation with yr Dad + yr confidentiality. (Assuming you're under 18.) you could phone NHS direct (google their number) and they'll be able to tell U if yr Dad gets informed.

Heyya :]
If you think you have bipolar you should go to the doctors. They would be the best people to talk to. Also, when you talk to them just explain your symptoms and ask them if you could possibly have bipolar? Take care xx

I don't think they will tell your dad unless you want them too. my understanding of it is that, even if your under 18 everything you tell your doctor is confidentel, unless your a risk to yourself or others, although he might encourage you to talk to your dad.

Go see a doctor. Self diagnosis is not the way to go. Even just print that off and give it the doctor and say you can identify with it.

Yeah, basically everyone is saying the same thing, to go to a doctor. And that is what you should do.

First of all, just know that these symptoms are actually more common than bipolar disorder is. I used to have all these symptoms as well, for about two years. I actually was sure that I had borderline personality disorder. It's natural for people who feel that what they're going through isn't normal to try to find some explanation for everything, when in fact they're simply going through things that are completely normal. I have recently gotten better over the past few months without getting any professional help and show hardly any symptoms, simply because I'm getting older and growing out of certain phases of my life.

Now, this is not to say that you shouldn't try to get help. I am saying that you shouldn't stress yourself out too much in worrying about this. Just know that self diagnosis is not very accurate at all. However, you should see a doctor just to be safe.

No, the doctor has no obligation to tell your parents about this. On the contrary, the doctor-patient confidentiality does still apply, even if you are under 18.

Just tell your doctor that you have been experiencing these symptoms, and also be sure to ask any questions that you may have about it. They will ask you questions about it as well. They might refer you to another doctor if they feel that it is necessary to do so, in which case your father might have to know about it. But this will only happen if the situation is serious, and if it is, it is best that your father knows anyway.

So talk to your doctor. Don't be scared. I am 100% sure that, whatever the situation is, things will turn out well.
-hugs-

My mom has bipolar and those do sound like depression symptoms. Do you have mania? Racing thoughts?
