RSS Feed In Journals

When I click on the little orange RSS feed button in the Journals, RYL logs me out, and tells me I don't have permission to access that. Is it supposed to do that?

I get the same think, I think.

It didn't actually log me out, but it suggested that might be the problem and offered me the option of logging back in. So yeah.

Dunno what the deal is, but it's not just you. :)

Hmm - I shall look into it!

Thanks

Not to look like a complete silly moo, but what is a rss feed?

Kim - I don't know either *shrugs*

It is a bug with the Journal software, and it won't be fixed until the next update.

I have therefore removed RSS from journals until it is fixed.

For those who are interested, RSS allows you to subscribe to content on most websites, for news, jokes, horoscopes, anything and everything - including members journals on RYL (I can also do this on threads and posts)

it means that if you have an RSS enabled browser, software or a google homepage - you can get real time feeds of stuff you have subscribed to. For example in Windows Vista you could keep updated to your friends journals (or posts/threads/sections of the main site) once enabled.
