Can things get any freakin worse?....

Hello,

Ok, I take vicodin for my back injury, but medicare will only cover 4 doses a day and I take 5 doses which makes me come up about 5-7 days short of my refill date on the bottle. So what my doctor has me do is call him for a early release to get around the insurance problem. Sounds confusing, but it works. Anyway, I have called it in several times before without a problem. Now all the sudden this chick tells me I can't do it anymore. That I have to wait till my refill date, which is another 7 days away. The pharmacy told me even if I got the early release from the doctor, they wouldn't honor it and fill the medication. And to boot, she told me she put in the computer that I abuse drugs because of how I was taking the medication. HELLO, Blame the stupid medical insurance. It's not my fault they only cover 240 pills a month when the doctor wanted to give more. I sware, It seems like every time I think nothing else can possibly go wrong in my life, another thing gets dropped on me. So in about 24 hours, if I can't get my medication fixed, I have to go through withdrawl. All the pharmacy could say was "oh well, you should not have been takeing so much then". GRRRR.

That doesn't sound fair, sorry to hear it's being a bit ****. Can you try going somewhere else for it if you do get an early release, another pharmacy? Hope it works out, doesn't sound much fun, hugs, Hannah

Hello,

Well apparently getting another pharmacy won't matter. I called the doctors officer to get it all figured out. I explained to the nurse that the doctor told me if I needed the extra dose to take it, and I did. But today, all the sudden when the nurse asked the doctor about it, he don't know what I am talking about which just when to piss me off even more. If he didn't know what I was talking about, then why did he do it the last 6-7 times like we set it up? And the doctor refused to give me anything to carry me through till the medication could be refilled. So I will have to go through withdraw of the medication and be in severe pain for the next week. I asked the nurse working for the doctors office what I am supposed to do about the withdraw, she just said, "Go to the ER". They are not going to do anything. So I just have to deal.
