Blackheads?

'Ello,

I was lucky enough through my teens to never have any spots or blackheads. People used to comment on my clear complexion but i never really noticed how clear my skin was until i got into my 20's and started developing spots.

Usually have an outbreak when i'm PMT'ing.
But it clears up.

I do however, have blackheads on my nose. They aren't noticeable other than to ME, but they annoy the bejesus out of me.
It all started when i had a sinus operation back in '07, they used that yellow crap on my nose during the operation, and because my nose was so sore/swollen, i couldn't touch it without flinching, so i couldn't wash it off until the swelling went down. By that time the grease had built up and i got a crap load of blocked pours = blackheads.

So, basically, i want recommendations on what products i can use for blackheads.
I have VERY sensitive skin - so what i can use is rather limited (sadly). I have eczma, and often with products come out in dry patches or rashes. So i need something for sensitive skin that will clear the blackheads.

Anyway. Yes. Sorry. Long and Rambly!
xx

Simple products are usually the best, especially for sensitive skin. I get rashes/eczma with other products (including the ones from lush, which I'm gutted about because they always smell amazing).
I'm using clean and clear blackhead cleanser at the moment, though, and it's not really having any adverse side effects and really clearing them up. I do know someone who's used it and found that it didn't help at all, however. I guess it depends on your skin? Maybe try out some products?
Sorry, I don't know how helpful that actually is.
Hope you find something that works though

Do lush have a website? *ponders*
Got to be really careful with smellies and stuff. Sad times. Can't use bubble baths or anything *sniffs*

I use Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing Lotion which helps dry out my skin as it often gets greasy. I've been using it for over a year now and have had no problems other than the fact because it's so harsh in fighting grease, it drys out my skin so i get the odd rash.

Definatly will look at the Simple range! Thanks for your replies guys :) X

Have you used any pore strips? I have found the simple range to be very good for my skin

I use this apricot scrub.. I think it's by St. Ives? I know they have a version for sensitive skin as well. :) It makes my skin feel really, really soft.

I LOVE St. Ives' Apricot cleanser! The best thing I've found for blackheads is steaming your face. There's facial steamers out there, but a pot of boiling water works fine as well. It opens your pores and helps whatever cleanser you're using do it's job.

I agree about the steam- you can also just use a plain old kettle, I used to have one that plugged into the wall so I could do it in my room (quite illegal according to housing rules, but I was careful :D )
