Staff

Right can someone just explain to me what the roles of staff are one here?

Okay so thers: Chat mods, Forum mods, and the community team yeh?

So what exactly is each role? This might seem like a realli dumb question to be asking but ultimately i do have a reason which i will discuss with any mods via PM if they wana know. I dont want this to turn into a debate or argument.

Are staff just here to make sure we follow the rules?

I dont want this to be a massive debate on anything i just want a simple answer on the role of the mods realli. Cause i think maybe i've been slightly misguided.

I'm of the belief they're here to make sure everything runs "smoothly".
If arguements break out, they're to step in/calm it down/lock thread if necessary.
Edit post reports.
Sort out members concerns/problems they have with other members/the site, etc.

Community Team are there to keep an eye out for suggestions on ways to improve RYL, and work on that - putting ideas together on there own forum, etc.

Chat Mods are also there to keep the peace in chat, make sure any complaints/problems are dealt with.

There are also several other staff teams.

There are the E-Zine staff, who put the E-Zine together and write a lot of the articles for it and all that.
There are the Supporters, who answer all the support e-mails, run live help and post a lot in the forums.
There are also The First Aid Advisors, who are in charge of responding to all the posts in the first aid forum, enforce the rules in the FAF and review all the advice given to make sure it's accurate/ok.
