I dont know if I like this or not, I wrote it at about 4am a couple of weeks ago.

the fog is silence, deepness, shrouding
hope and birdsong fall
the fog is lost within an eyelid,
have you ever felt so small?
the fog I taste, I live, I breathe,
My essence and despair,
the fog, the grey discordant shapes,
begin to seem to care
the fog, it lies, it mocks, it screams,
it tortures all who wait
with bated breath, the fog approaches,
we care, too little, too late,
in the fog I am hidden,
in the fog I am lost,
in the fog I am driven,
to stay in here at all costs
and yet I long to be wholesome,
I strive and I yearn to be free,
if the fog were for once to fade away,
what, exactly, who, would I be?
