RYL's Book Club

As was mentioned in last month's eZine, we are starting a book club, and here it is.

The book up for discussion this month is A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf.

Hopefully the eZine will be published within the next few days and will contain questions about the book for members to ponder over and discuss in this thread. This thread will be linked from the eZine so, for now, familiarise yourself with the book and watch this space.

The eZine team.

sillyputty 17-01-2009 05:25 AM

OOh virginia woolf is always good. Unfortunately I can't go to the library, due to the fact that I owe them a *ahem* slight amount of money and so they won't let me use my library card until I pay them back.

Stellata 17-01-2009 08:17 AM

^ The libraries I work for allow you to pay large fines by instalments. Once they get reduced by a certain amount, you can use your card again.

In London you can reserve books from across most of London with no charge, it's called the Consortium. :)

My copy's at my parents. Blah! I'll reserve it when I'm at work today, though.

*yay* I'm excited! Have to wait until I get home so I can get my copy..

(Apparently, according to some story my grandpa likes to tell, Virginia Woolf is a relation of ours... but we can never be quite sure if that's true or not...!)

Ooh this sounds great, I shall have to get a copy of it somehow. So far all of the books I've wanted to read this holidays have been checked out at the library *shakes fist*. Hopefully they'll have a copy of this floating around somewhere.
