Random Facts cause Jess is bored

Sooo i'm very bored right now at work... not doing any work... watching QI on you tube. So i'm going to share some random facts i've learnt :)

Pandas are the only bears who never hibernate.

Pandas have penises that point backwards...

Some bamboo grows up to 4 feet a day... and was used as a form of torture...

Alexander Graham Bell didn't invent the telephone. He poached the patent of some random who couldn't afford it and that guy took him to court about it but died before the case was over....

Thomas Edison invented the word Hello.

Leo Pard 07-01-2009 03:02 AM

Bob Fossil calls pandas 'The furry black and white chinease people that eat sticks'.
Oh the joys one learns from the book of boosh.

Really?:wow: I always wondered where words come from...

Casper_Fading 07-01-2009 03:32 AM

It use to be Hullo which was just a word that was about objects like... oh hullo what's this. Thomas Edison invented Hello to mean a greeting of someone. *nods* he didn't invent the lightbulb either!

Interesting!! The things you learn on here that they never taught you in school... once more my schooling has been found to be incorrect.. just like Pluto is no longer a planet... :P thanks for the info!

Leo Pard 07-01-2009 03:39 AM

Casper_Fading 07-01-2009 03:39 AM

Did you know that the earth has 5 moons! and the biggest thing on earth is not the blue whale, it's some big mushroom thing that's like.... 3 football field wide or something!

not even touching this one... :whistling:

Leo Pard 07-01-2009 04:12 AM

Yes I torture people for fun...

Can it be preggers like 3 times at once then?

God imagine how many kids a chavvy kangaroo would have....

Casper_Fading 07-01-2009 04:26 AM

The moons have only been discovered in the past few years *nods*

A kangaroo gets pregnant in two if it's wombs, what happens is that if it has a problem with one of the babies, the other one develops instead... and a male kangaroo has two penises... well it's one, split into two. and i have no idea what the third vagina is for ;P

Leo Pard 07-01-2009 04:28 AM

Thats so weird.

Did you also know that there is actually no such thing as kangaroos. They are jsut mice standing very very near.

Casper_Fading 07-01-2009 04:30 AM

lmao!!!!!

Leo Pard 07-01-2009 04:38 AM

'Great lies to tell small children'

Casper_Fading 07-01-2009 08:16 AM
