I CANT do this - Effexor withdrawal

I seriously think this drug should be barred, i dont know how they can let anyone go through this.

Withdrawal - Ive been off them for a week because i didnt have any left, and i couldt go to another city to get them, and i want off them anyway.

But THIS...

Feeling sick, throwing up, brain shivers, feeling faint, having no energy, feeling disorintated, having nightmares, barely being able to walk at times, seeing things. Moods.

Right now i really cant f**king do this, its HELL, no wait beyond HELL

I jus want off of this, i just want to feel normal

I understand. I've been there. I did it gradually over a long while, but it was still awful. Pretty much as you describe. It does pass. It will pass.

As my GP wisely said to me, it will happen that there will no longer be any more efexor in your bloodstream.

Take it very very gently. Rest lots. And keep reminding yourself that the awfullness will pass. Because it will. Honest.

cutupangel09 07-07-2007 03:12 AM

I have been there, with Effexor, and other medications. It will pass as the they said. Be strong about and just let it pass. That is all I can tell you for advice. If you need someone to talk to. I am here.
Good Luck

I'm really sorry to hear how bad you are feeling, that must be really terrible for you. Take it easy and stay safe, I hope that this passes soon. Please get on touch if you need anything. xxx

I feel bad because i had to take one last night, at least i can move about without wanting to throw up, and feeling dizzy.

Its the brain shivers i cant deal with, becasue it happens everytime i move my head or walk or well move, it can happen every few seconds constantly.

I read somewhere comming off heroin was easier than effexor *sigh*

Stellata 07-07-2007 06:40 PM

((Mari))

Its ok to take it gradually. It just takes time for your body to get used to it. Rant here as much as you need to.

craola 07-07-2007 07:10 PM

Oh noes :(

Sorry lovely, I hope things get easier.
Im on effexor at the moment, im really not looking forward to coming off them after your description. Shadow will keep you safe.

Bleeding Angel 08-07-2007 03:56 PM

I was happy last night.

Stellata 08-07-2007 04:01 PM

You can put those happy times into a 'happy bank' inside, as it were. :)

Kelvin 09-07-2007 06:02 AM

It does get better,I'm currently trying to come off anti-psychotics after having kicked years on a variety of anti-depressants including Effexor.Honestly it does get better and your courageous to attempt coming off them....you can do it because you know you want your life back.

Bleeding Angel 10-07-2007 12:52 PM

I wish it did, i know i can go three days feeling fine before withdrawal kicks in, i had to take half a teblet because i started feeling sick and the wiered eye things where comming back

Bleeding Angel 14-07-2007 02:49 PM

There little more i can take

one_step_closer 15-07-2007 10:45 AM

I can understand that this must be really tough for you. You have come such a long way, and every second that passes it's getting closer to you feeling better. We're here for you.

Well done for coming off it and surviving!

I did it a coupla years back really really slowly and it was still a nightmare. I was playing clarinet/flute at a wedding and couldn't stand upright - i understand the pain.

How u feeling now then?

Big hugs,
Mabska xxx

Stellata 19-07-2007 08:12 PM
