Cyclothymic personality?
 

My GP this week said he thought I had a very Cyclothymic personality and having googled i think i probably agree but what does it mean in real terms? What does it mean to me and my mental health?

He said how he thinks we need to calm the hyper part of me to balance out the downs i have.

I believe cyclothymia is a mild form of bipolar disorder.

never actually been for professional help despite having issues for many years and to be honest ive always kind of wondered what was wrong with me, which has also stopped me sseeking help in the past, part of me wants a good reason for it, but part of me is cacking myself as to what they might say and so far no ones said much except putting me on meds, very frustrating really,

Probably that you are very up and down generally.
