What have you been diagnosed with?
Just curious really.
I'm Bipolar and Borderline and I also have an OCD. |
Anxiety, ADHD, OCD, possible BPD (too young), Bulimia, I heard my psych say I have attatchment disorder or dependent or something? Something along those lines. Labels, labels, labels.
|
Borderline Personality Disorder. And anxiety.
Old diagnoses are Attachment Disorder, Depressive Disorder, Sub Threshold Depression. Two sort of diagnoses of Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder and Avoidant Personality Disorder. |
Erm Depression, anxiety and Pychosis I think
I've yet to be diagnosed with Bulimia but I'm pretty sure I have it |
Schizoaffective Bipolar Type
General Anxiety Disorder Borderline PD Traits. Social Phobia Previously Bulemic |
last one they labelled me with was schizoaffective depressive type. i aint been back since.
|
Severe depression and general anxiety disorder.
|
Clinical Depression (which I think is wrong)
Anxiety Disorder OCD traits when SH'ing (rituals) forgot to mention PTSD :s previosuly had anorexia traits when younger and doctors currently looking into a new diagnosis (which is leaning towards Bipolar) |
It amazes me how many people on here have multiple diagnoses, surely it's unusual for so many disorders to be co-morbid. Like I understand some things like depression and anxiety going hand in hand, but I've not heard that having one disorder puts you at risk for having others.
Mine are plain old depression and anxiety, though there's been a bit of talk as to wether my depression is psychotic depression or not. And PTSD has been mentioned a few times, but then again a lot of things have been mentioned once or twice, it's like they just throw out random diagnoses and then change thier mind. |
Major Depressive Disorder
Borderline Personality Disorder Social Anxiety Disorder Unofficial diagnoses of Avoidant Personality Disorder, Psychosis and Anorexia |
Depression, school phobia (weird one), anorexia.
Now - bipolar. |
My gf is diagnosed with BPD and Bi Polar, as well as other things.
Im diagnosed with; Generalised/ social anxiety disorder with panic attacks Emetophobia OCD Anorexia (previously) Now I would imagine Im ED-NOS Borderline Personality Disorder Depression Personally, I feel my main problems are BPD, ED-NOS, Anxiety (in all places) and obsessive and intrusive thoughts. I am emetophobic though. I was very depressed at one point, but my mood swings can be attributed to the BPD, so it doesnt really count. My first diagnoses were Anorexia, OCD and Depression when I was 16. Though things have changed since then cos the adult team think I have BPD, but they still realise I have a lot of anxiety related problems/disorders and an ED. |
Medically - Longstanding treatment resistant/recurrent depression.
Psychotherapeutically - Complex Trauma |
I find it weird that people have current diagnosis of BPD and depression (I'm not saying anyone is lying, just that I find it weird) because normally BPD encompasses depression, there is not normally a seperate disorder.
My old diagnoses of sub threshold depression were basically disgregarded after I got my BPD diagnosis. |
social phobia, agorophobia, depression
|
I have been diagnosed with;
Anorexia Nervosa, then Bulimia but they still have Anorexia as an official diagnosis - not sure why! Bipolar Affective Disorder PTSD OCD |
Aye, I also find some of the comorbid stuff a bit strange, like a lot of people who have comorbid borderline + whatever diagnoses, bpd encompasses so many symptoms.
Doctors do tend to throw around labels, but it's different to having an official diagnosis, I believe. Like, a lot of my symptoms could be diagnoses on their own, but aren't because I'm diagnosed with BPD. For instance the ED Specialist said I have Bulimia in the context of BPD. I also suffer from panic attacks and such. I'm diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder and Depression with Psychotic Features. I do find it confusing that I have bpd and depression, but my understanding is they are two separate disorders in y case because whilst have the crazy ups and downs of bpd I also have episodes of depression that causes psychotic symptoms that have previously been mistaken for full blown schizophrenia before, whilst it is actually apart of the depression (and I've been through the schizoaffective stuff, I think they dropped that, it hasn't been mentioned lately). In adolescent services I was diagnosed with severe/extreme ocd with predominant obsessive thoughts and poor insight. But I'm pretty sure I don't have it anymore, and various doctors have agreed or disagreed with me. I wouldactually question if I had it in the first place. Sorry, not saying I disbelieve anyone, more that I'm interested. Hope this hasn't offended, and osrry for the long diagnostic ramble. We are not just our diagnoses, remember that always. |
Depression, which is bull ****. So I never went back. That is all. =]
|
Severe Generalised Anxiety Disorder
Depression ED-NOS They think I have SAD as well as a Panic Disorder too... |
I was diagnosed with depression/anxiety and then later with PTSD, I am unsure if PTSD encompasses depression.
I was also diagnosed with ADHD, but I've never been on medication for that. One of my doctors suggested that I may not have ADHD, that it may just be that it fit without any knowledge of what was going on in my life that would actually account for my symptoms. I have a feeling that he was probably right. |
