"You're looking very skinny"

Hiya guys, sorry I haven't been on in ages. College is hard work  !

Well I've not been doing very well. I'm only really eating breakfast and dinner. I can see a difference but my mum and sister both asked me today if my eating was ok... my sister said I'm getting skinny! I just want to lose weight, that's all. I've stopped purging and gone to not eating much. But 2 meals seems like a lot to me. Maybe I'll tell my mum I dont feel well and she can make me a salad?? I hope my CPN doesn't notice too, I'll have to wear big clothes. I might weigh myself tonight. I feel so... I dunno tbh. But anyway... thanks for listening,

Leigh xx

Hey honey.

I'm really sorry you're finding things so difficult. I get comments like that too... they can be hurtful, even if that's not the intent.

I'm assuming your family doesn't know about your eating disorder? Is there anyone you can talk to? I've only recently... and it's really helped. I know you say you want to lose weight, but there is so much more to an ED than weight... talking about the emotional side can be so releasing, even if you do continue to lose; the emotional burden can become lighter.

I really hope you can find peace. Any time you wanna chat, my inbox is open. I've been on the road you're on... I know it hurts.

JJ *hugs*

hey

2 meals a day, while it may feel like a lot to you, is actually very little. mos tpeopel have 3 meals a day with 2 snacks. If your mum and sister are noticeing, an dyour sister says you're getting skinny, chances are you dotn need to lose weight at all. and even if you did, restricting how much you eat dramatically is not the way to go about it. this is not healthy (or perminant) weight loss.

You're mum will see past the 'i dont feel well' excuse and your CPN wont be fooled by baggy clothes. They want to help you, so let them.

" meals might feel like a lot, but honestly it isnt. IN my experiences generall dieticians ask their clients/perscribe to them a meal plan that consists of 3 healthy meals and 3 snacks. It seems alot i know. You motabolism and body actually function best with the frequent intake...an i can promise you i havnt got fat eating that much... infact (and i am recovering/close to recovered anorexia) the other day i said i needed to gain some more!!... hope that helps...
