thick blood thin blood...help???
Ok so I cut the other day and when I cut there was barely any blood. There never really is too much blood, even when I cut to the bone, just because I clot so well, and I guess I have naturally thick blood. Anyways so I wasnt bleeding, but I bandaged up anyway. Now it's a day and a half later and I took off one of the bandaids, and of course the bandaid took off some of the scab and it started bleeding a little bead of blood in one spot, but then the bead turned into the size of a quarter and I went through like 5 bandaids. Then it just stopped all of a sudden.
Does anyone else know what the heck was up with that??? |
It depends on what you hit. If that makes sense. SO for exmple a really deep wound wont actually bleed for severeal sendonds. Whereas one between surface and deep ill last for wuite a while without bleeding. For example i had a glass cut from a science accident on my fnger did the same thing. I think its cause knocking the scab causes trauma to teh wound or somthing but dont take my word for it. I woudl keep an eye on it tho.

There are hundreds of tiny blood vessels under the skin.
When you have knocked the top off the wound, it is possible that you have distrubed one f the blood vessels. This would be the most likly cause for the bleeding. To prevent this happening in the future, it might be helpful to apply some vaseline to th bandaid where it will be touching the skin. This should prevent it from sticking. Take Care Kim |
