Update On My Appointment

So, I am just following up to the post I made about a week ago you can find it here: http://recoveryourlife.com/forum/showthread.php?t=69413. Before anything, thanks to everyone who replied, encouraging me and also people in chat who spoke with me. To make a long story short I DID make it to my appointment today. I was terribly nervous and almost shaking, I could hear my heart pounding and my head was throbbing, it was also really awkward but at the same time I was actually able to be quite honest even though I was so shy. So, they referred me to a psychiatrist, unfortunately I have to wait 3 weeks (its on Nov. 19) but at the same time that gives me time to get ready for it. I hope it works out, as I haven't had the chance to talk to someone in a long time, even though I have a psych right now and have for years, i haven't been very truthful.

So, keep your fingers crossed for me that I don't cancel this next appointment or get too nervous and just skip it and that everything just goes smoothly. If you made it this far, thanks for reading this post. I feel successful tonight :jumpin:

Yeah, thanks, that's the plan. I hope its easier this next time but I have my doubts about that. Thanks so much, I will definitely give you guys an update when I actually go and see the psych for the first time.

if you're having trouble going then maybe get a friend to kick your ass into gear about it? That's usually pretty helpful!
