*possible trigger (sui)* is this depression?

yo people.

I'm...really confused. I suffer from major depression along with various other crap, but...no symptoms in MONTHS. like, almost a year  which is crazy in itself.

But lately...I've been feeling like it'd be nice to...go to sleep and not wake up, y'know? I'm not depressed as far as I can tell, I'm not even really suicidal, I'm just....VERY tired of life. like, I've seen enough and now I'm all good to leave. I dont get whats going on in my head. any help?

I just feel tired, mellow, and weary. And old.

No one here can diagnose you with anything. However wether what you are suffering from is clinical depression or not, it certanly sounds like some disturbance of mood. And your thoughts about ceasing to exist would be concerning if they turned to thoughts of actual suicide.

When you had depression before, what help did you access? Do you still see the people from that? If so I'd mention to them how you are feeling. If not I'd pop along to see your GP to let him know how things are.
Take care

yeh...I s'pose the title was misleading, I wasn't actually suggesting that you could diagnose me. y'know, I give up posting on this site haha...not that people are unhelpful, I just get a bad vibe from everyone, like I should shut up. anyway, cheers for the reply. goodbye =]

Heidi Tiger 02-10-2008 03:54 PM

Hang on, I find that quite insulting. I did offer you suggestions of what you could do as opposed to just telling you people couldn't diagnose you.
WHat sort of support are you look for from us? Then perhaps anyone else who replies might be able to give you some help that you find more useful than my advice.

Sounds like boardom to me, get yourself a nice hobby

flymetothemoon 02-10-2008 04:02 PM

heidi tiger, I wasn't insulting you, I did appreciate your advice. just ignore me yeh, I always mess things up, always say the wrong thing...haha what an idiot I'm crying now. I'm sorry.

sweetsunday 02-10-2008 04:10 PM

hun don't cry! it's ok :) maybe you are just bored of life - time for a new job? new house? new friends? think of ways you can change your life and make it more exciting!

there's always counselling just in case things do go downhill and you feel more sad..... xx

flymetothemoon 02-10-2008 04:12 PM

yeh...I'm pretty useless.. I probably do just need a job, something to keep me occupied. thanks.

sweetsunday 02-10-2008 04:15 PM

you're not useless. im not saying that! just that sometimes it gets dull doing the same thing. so do something else. it'll be interesting even if the 'something else' turns out to be crap.

im in the same situation as u are. i think i'll get a job just until i have enough money to completely change my life lol

felix felicis 03-10-2008 04:48 PM

You are not useless, and i don't want to hear you say that again. You're one of the most amazing people i've met, and i know for a fact that you have a lot more to give.
Find a job, have fun with friends, have a laugh and just enjoy your youth! Go on holiday? Organize a trip somewhere?, there are so many things to do.
Please don't give up on life hunny, you gave me my life back, i don't want to see you waste yours.
Take care of yourself, xx

From reading your comments in this thread, you do come across as someone who is depressed - however, I can not diagnose anything, as I can see has already been said - I can, however, offer hugs and suggest you speak to a gp to see if there is anything that can be done.

In the mean time, yes, new hobby - anything to reinvest some interest in life seems to be the best way forward. Even if it is something you have once done and given up - or something you never thought to try.
