Sorry hun, nothing useful but want you to know that my CPN and psych suggested a certain AP a couple of months ago but not allowed to trry them until I have seen her but can never get appointment. At the moment I am desperately trying to hang on. What have you tried so far? Have they suggested anything else?

when i was considering taking ad's a few months some of the advice i got was.....the ad's may not help directly with self harm but they can help indirectly by putting you in a better place to deal with things.

yeh my gp mention that they can take 4-8 wks to start getting the benefits, i had to change the 1st 2 i was on cos i was so ill on them but the 3rd one,i have found actually quite good after the first 2wks which increased my sh urges. after 4wks felt quitegood (i say felt cos ive just up'd the meds and have been pushed back again)

dont give up hope tho.... it maybe that you need some additional treatment aswell as the medication

stay safe hun *cuddles* xx

Sorry to say this but, there's "no magic drug" (i hate that phrase) lol!!
anit depressants are used to help lift your mood so you can have the energy to work through your fellings, they dont stop them unfortunatly. It does take time to find the right one for you but youll get there eventually.
CBT is realy helpful - in my opinion far better then medication!
