Lion or Donkey?
 
My dad resently said somthing that got me wondering. Would you rather live as a donkey or die as i lion? I mean i guess i know what it means i'm just wondering what other people would answer

Personally i would rather die a lion.

I would prefer to live like a donkey. As in, once you're dead you cannot influence much more change and your sphere of influence dimishes; going out with a bang maybe appealing to some, but staying alive and making changes, standing up for what i believe in through my own little way would be far better than losing everything and relying on luck for my beliefs to be passed on?

Those you cannot see make the biggest changes! (:

But I think I'm reading into the question a little differently from everyone else.

It doesn't specify that the lion would be born, then die. I've perceived it to mean live your life as a lion, but risk being cut down in your prime due to a risk gone wrong etc etc, whereas with donkeys, they live for years and years but never do anything. If that makes sense?

I'm not sure.
It's complicated.
My mum always used to say 'donkeys go best loaded' when bitter and resentful about doing anything arduous. It was said in a semi-sarcastic way.
So, my ideas of donkeys are tied up with martyrdom, a recurring theme in my own life...

i'd rather die as a lion rather than plod along like a donkey for years on end. seems a bit dismal.
tbh im probably more like the donkey atm but its not rele thru choice.
i think the question says what would u prefer.

But going out with a bang people will hear and your story would spred so wouldnt you be able to influence people? and if your a donkey no influencing lol who listens to a donkey?
