Hair removal cream
 

Has anyone here tried it? I was wondering if it actually worked or not. I did try it before but despite leaving for the maximum time it didn't work. That was years and years ago though.

The reason being that I find using razors difficult due to hand problems.

Yeah it works fine for me although it stinks to the high heavens but if the smell doesn't knock you out then yeah it's good =)

Veet is the best I have found that and superdrugs own strangely as it's really cheap!!

Its worked for me though it does depend on the brand and how long/thick your hair is

If you have really sensitive skin i wouldn't recommend it.
I have extremely sensitive skin and despite getting the "sensitive" versions i still find my legs come out in a bobbly red rash.
It is easier though if you haven't got sensitive skin.
I found the veet ones the best when i used to use them!

You can get the ones now where you put it on your legs and can still have a shower, and it stays on. So you can keep it on for longer, then when you've finished washing just take it off with the spatula you get given. Quite handy!

My two main points :]

if you have sensitive skin don't use it. I burn really badly when i use it. so yeah, but otherwise go for it!

i used it,i used veet for sensitive skin,but i guess it depends how sensitive your skin is.i had no problems with it,except the weird smell.

eek it stinks!!

havent had too much luck with it i have to say, 1) left half the hairs there 2) grew back really quick..... maybe works better on fine hair????

I used it like once or twice and it worked quite well, but wasn't worth the effort in the end because the hair grew back very quickly.
Yeah and like everyone else said: the smell.....

I've tried hair removal creams before, and ultimately I found that shaving was just easier. I used Nair, and it's a little better than shaving in giving you that smooth feeling afterwards. Of course, there's always some spots you miss, whether its with the cream or with a razor. In the end, Nair was messier and took more time, so I went back to shaving.

I use hair removing cream quite a lot, and I've tried tonnes of different ones, they all seem to do the job just fine - but I don't have sensitive skin, so can't compare to those comments who do.
My hair grows back unusually slowly though, i think otherwise it would be about the same as razors. Plus they're cheaper

I use Intution -it's like shaving, but has this nifty softening cream stuff around it, so it works pretty smoothly and effortlessly. And it doesn't pong!

Thanks for the advice :-) I think I'll try it and see, I don't have sensitive skin - but just in case I'll do a patch test first!

Success :-) it didn't smell anywhere near as bad as it did last time I used it (mind that was years ago) and it didn't effect my skin either.

It did however partially melt my hair :blink:

sensitive skin use magic cream (look up online - i can even use it *cough* down there!)

I FIND the only ones that work are the scrape off ones (rather than the wash or sponge off ones), i used to buy a big tube cheaply that smelt like roses, cost like £1... worked fine, i used the edge of a soap dish to scrape off as it didnt have a scraper in it.

Yeah the one I was using was sensitive and had a scrapper with it, which was designed to look exactly like a razor *will look out for cheaper versions and keep scrapper!*
