A Message About SelfHarming - Keep the Faith
 

Just a little somethig to try keep the faith.

You never get over it, it never disappears. No matter how hard you try, it’ll live with you forever.
The scars, the memories, everything. Forever.
Just one little scar, even if it fades away, the memories won’t fade.
It’s hard. It’s painful. But it’s not for nothing.
Some days are good, some days are bad. Some days you feel like there’s nothing good to come out of all the trying.
It feels like your fighting a battle that’s already lost.
But believe me, it’s not all for nothing, it’s not worthless. It’s not.
Believe in yourself, believe in others, trust in others.
It only takes that one little thing to make things a bit less hard.
And it will come, some it takes years, some only months, but it will come.
Don’t give up just yet, the harder you try, the more the reward.
It doesn’t have to be a person that can save you, doesn’t even have to be an object, a song, a pet, and flower anything.
Don’t look for your saviour; it’ll come in time, just try to survive in the meantime.
More than anything, remember –
TO THE WORLD YOU ARE NO ONE. TO ONE PERSON YOU ARE THE WORLD.

Thank you for posting this. I'm sure I've seen it before, but, to use a turn of phrase, it never hurts to see it again. :)

I have always found it true that no effort towards healing and recovery, whether of self harm, depression, a lifetime of abuse, anything that troubles you, is ever wasted.
It is true that recovery from these things is hard, but 'its not for nothing' is so true.
And we never know the impact of supportive words on another, how much they can help, even if not now, today, but in years to come.

I agree. It's always nice to see it posted again especially since there is always going to be someone who hasn't seen it before. Thanks. :)

I haven't seen that, but that really inspired me, especially the bit about a saviour. Thank you =)
