There's someone in my head, but it's not me
& I really want to OD when I get home from my therapy session today.
Its too hard to fight her now. :crying: |
hey helen,
it was really brave of you to post & ask for support. i know you're going through a tough time right now, but i really do think that you are a fabulous, kind, intelligent, and beautiful person. when is your therapy session today? do you talk to them about the people you think are in your head at all? or the fact that you have urges to over dose these days? i know it can be scary, but talking about things openly is the first step to getting support for them. your therapist is there to help you, try to be as honest with them as possible. there are a lot of people on here, and in real life, who love and care about you helen. you are a tough cookie, please don't give up the fight. *squishes* |
Thank you :)
I do talk to them, but it doesn't stop the urge to go away. :Crying: My session is at 1:30 today. |
you're more than welcome :)
what do you think would help to get the urge to pass? have you tried all those distraction techniques & such that are in a big long list somewhere? have you ever felt before the sensation when an urge passes? urges are always hard and icky, but you can get through them. you just need to believe that you are stronger than them. and sweetie, you are stronger than them. you can beat them. |
I'd suggest that you talk about these difficult impulses with your therapist, which can help you feel safer with everything, and lessen the urges.

I spoke to her about it & she told me that its not the way to go down becuase it wont solve anything & she wouldn't be able to see me anymore :crying: so yeah, i think her tecnuiqe to put me off Oding has worked

I am glad you have been put off from overdosing, what triggered you to want to OD?
I hope you continue to speak honestly with your therapist.Do you have any have any family members to speak to about how you are feeling at the moment as maybe doing something fun to try and giove you some hope and happiness may help you to fight through this Jane x |
This is mostly in reply to your rant thread where you said about not seeking help for your overdoses because you don't want to lose your therapist. I think she meant that if you died then she wouldn't be able to see you, not that it is a punishment for needing help so please, if you do OD go and get checked out.
I am so pleased though that at the moment it has given you a reason not to OD, that's fantastic. xxx |
