I have not asked my psych for the diagnosis but i'm sure he did one cause now i'm on meds *perphenanize 8 gm*

My dad told him at the first appt to keep him updated, i don't know what that means, but can he tell my dad with the diagnosis ?

I don't know if i make any sense sorry :/

Like Trace said he'd only breek confidentiality if you are at risk, i think it also depends on your age.
Do you not want your dad to know your diagnoses?

the replies have said exactly what i would have said.
if you are worried ask your dad what he meant and what he knows or ask you psych what (if anything) he has been telling your dad)

as you are 19 unless you have a plan made out and intend on carrying out that plan your psyc cant say anythihg
also even if you are feeling suicidal i dont think you psych has the right to break confidentiality when it comes to family member, however he can alert other medical staff.

What do you feel your diagnosis might be? Why don't you want your dad to know, when he's clearly aware already that you have some kind of illness?

Roby hun have you asked your dad/pysc what your dad meant?

And can i ask you why you don't want him to know?

if your doctor/psych has put you on medication, they are required to tell you what it is for. do you know what your medication is usually prescribed for?
as everyone else has said, your psych cant say anything to dad unless you want him to.
