*Adult* Citalopram
 

I've been on Citalopram for anxiety for just over 2 weeks. This medication is making me very happy and I'm pleased with the results. However, it's causing problems sex-wise. I find that since being on this medication, my climaxes are delayed dramatically. Has anyone else had this problem with Citalopram or any other anti-depressants? And does anyone know of any alternatives that wouldn't affect me sexually?

Unfortunately its one of the side effects of most SSRIs, which citalopram is. Have a word with your GP about it?

As said above, i think it's a pretty common/well-known side-effect of most SSRI's, however that doesn't mean all SSRI's will affect you the same. Speak to your GP about it, they might be able to change you to a similar one and see if that's better. x

my gfs the same with prozac.

when i first started sertraline (ssri) no matter how much myself or my boyfriend tried i could not have an orgasm.
after been on the meds for about a month this side effect wore off!
