Murdering my parents
 

theres a man following me and he keeps telling me i should murder my parents. I dont know why but im scared i might actually do it. help ....

He isn't real, you need to try to ignore what he tells you. You could get yourself in a lot of trouble if you start listening to or doing things that the man tells you to do.

my parengts know and theyre just tellin me he isnt real and that im too niceof a person to act on it

Hunni, you really need to get some kind of help for this. You might be the worlds nicest person, but if this "man" keeps on and on, you'll do anything to shut him up.

You say he keeps on... how long have you known about him for? When you first saw him, was he nice or has he always been asking you to kill your parents?

Hunni, you're getting to the point where it's really worrying you. I think you need to do something about it before you act on it. I understand it's a scary thing to admit to someone... but it's for the best sweetie.

I hope this doesn't upset you or sound really blunt but i'm sure that you know he is not real. If you were convinced that he was real I don't think that you would post in the mental health forum. Please try to look at what is happening and your evidence for thinking that he is real. You are in control of your own actions and do not have to do what anyone else tells you to. Please let someone know what is going on, someone who can support you through this. Take care and get in touch any time.

I know hes not real but he seems real to me because he just looks like evreyone else looks. Imseeing my nurse tmorrow so ill tell her whats happening. thanks for all your help.Hes scaring me

I can understand that he may look real to you, but it's good that you can see that he isn't entirely real. I hope that your nurse is able to help. In the meantime stay safe.

You're not a freak *hugs* I get a voice telling me to kill people, sometimes my own mum, and I know it can sometimes be overwhelmingly hard not to, but you need to hang on. The man isn't real, he can't hurt you. Have you told your doctor this?

You aren't a freak. A similar thing has happened to me where ive had really strong thoughts of wanting to kill my mother, and was hospitalised. I was delusional at the time. But ive gotten through it. And so too will you. Please look after yourself, and let us know how it goes with the nurse tomorrow xxx
