OCD?

Okay, well i have this thing with numbers. Especially the number 3. I hate it so so much. When im watching tv, the volume its at cant add up or take away to make 3, if it does i have to change it to a "safer" option. Also, when i am waiting for something to get out of the microwave, i look at the numbers going down, and cant look when the number is a multiple of 3.
I am always checking the chairs for spiders before i sit on them.
And i always have to check behind the shower curtain to make sure there isnt a dead body behind it.
Is this ocd? I understand you're not doctors or anything, but does it sound like it could be?
My psychologist said she would get me some information for me about ocd, because i told her about the number thing.
Okay, now im just rambling.
But what treatment has helped you if you suffer from ocd?

Hey.

Many people have OCD 'traits', infact you will probably never find a person who hasn't got a 'little thing they do'. However, when it begins to interfere with your life, and causes you great stress, I think that's when it becomes a problem.

I also, have a thing with the number 3, can't do anything 3 times, or 13. Can't say things 3 times, can't do anything 3 times.....

I do have OCD, and have many other things that I do.

It's good that you spoke to your Psychologist about it though hun, and I hope that she will be able to help you with some of it. xxxx

Alone and Scared, do you know why you have a thing about the number 3? Because im not really sure why i do. It could be something that happened in the past, but i dont remember it.
And yeah, im getting some good support now.

I don't really know to be honest, I think it just developed over time.... I don't really know. There were a number of reasons as to why I developed OCD, and I know them, but not actually the number 3 things!

I'm glad you are getting good support now. x
