Read and unread posts.
Im not sure if im missing something, but how do you tell the difference between read and unread posts? Because im not sure if threads are marking themselves read when they're not or if I just cant tell the difference.
|
I thought it was the little blank page symbol? Or something to do with the unbold writing (although I don't trust that).
Not entirely sure pet. xo |
I was
wondering that too |
Something unread should have an orange tick in the tiny page symbol on the left, and something read would have a blank page.
Something unread should have a tiny orange arrow, pointing down, right next to the title. Something read doesn't have this arrow. Something unread should appear slightly bolder and a deeper blue, while something read is... less so. I've had things which I've read, refuse to mark themselves as such. And also things which I haven't read be all too eager to sneakily turn themselves read. It's very confusing. |
Oh, the things I've listed are all things which apply to the forum listing.
Once you're actually in the thread, posts which are read have a slightly blue little square in the top left corner (right next to when it was posted) and posts which are unread have a white/grey square. |
Thank you Allie :)
Today everything unread is in bold, im almost positive it wasnt yesterday, only some of them were. But who cares! I can tell the difference now :) |
It would make more sense if the orange tick appeared for things that were read.
|
Im sorry, im all confused again.
![]() I know I havent read the top two posts but they look the same as all the others. My head hurts. |
1 & 4 look darker to me there.
|
It's really confusing me too. :(
|
Yeah Aimee, all those threads believe themselves to be read.
Have they been posted in since you last logged in? I found that between when I go to bed and when I get up, some threads decide to become read for some reason. Today though, about 50% of what I read won't mark itself read. I keep having to mark whole boards as read. It's annoying. :( |
