rant about work bosses! *shouldnt trigger*
Why do people have a fascination with injuries and want to see them? ive had to wear a bandage on my arm all week due to cuts and stitches etc as its winter its a bit hard to hide it esp in an office with broken air con...anyway i told people at work i had an accident with a knife. My boss has asked me literally everyday to take the bandage off cos he wanted to see how gross it is blah blah so obviously ive refused but today he wouldnt let up just went on and on so i literally screamed at him oops i shouted at him across the office to f*ck off and leave me alone and to stop hassling me cos im not showing him... why do people always want to see whats under a bandage. really p*ssed me off. Don't think he'll ask me again tho! lol
rant over... just made me mad grrrr how do other people cope in those situations? its bad enough lying about whats under the bandage but when people hassle you about how do you shut them up?! |
Your supervisor is inappropriate and should be reported to his supervisor. If that doesn't work, can you report him to whatever the UK equivalent of the labor board is?

I've never had to deal with anything, but hope your ok and yeah must have been so GRR :( **squishes**

Thank you yeah was very grrr! lol I got so stroppy and agry at him Friday if the big boss had been in i would have gone to him... but i think its safe to say no one in the entire office will be asking again after the way i reacted! lol Its hard cos i try so hard to hide teh fact i self harm, i dont like people knowing so get very defensive about it.
thank you for your replies x. |
I know the feeling. I just give up n show them to my manager cose she like can i see them then i refuse then she like dont play silly games with me and i have to see them so in the end i let her see them. The last time i showedher my cuts they were deep n she dragged me to A+E to get them sorted out. Yay a day off work

People get curious. The more you hide something to more curious they become. Persdonally i would have reprimanded you for swearing at me if you were my boss! (yes i used to be a manager and i was a soft one too!).
Try not to let this get to you. Its par for the "cutters course" im afraid. We do this and we pay the consequences. That may sound harsh but its true! Dont let things like this jeopardise your career or job prospects. Rise above things like this, you are better than that im sure! |
