Remember kids, don't drink and...play the bongos

While drinknig heavily yesterday, in a continued celebration for the completion of my coursework, I went to a gig.

T'wasn't a very good gig, but it was all made better by the bonjo man who played outside in the smoking area afterwards.
Me, in my drunken wisdom, thought "man that looks fun", and decided to join in. The bonjo man was more than happy to let me join in, and we played a whole duo set, which was cool.

Now, bongos are very hard drums, and it involes alot of hitting wood to make it ring, which is all well and good, unless your very drunk and you don't really feel what your hitting.
That is until you stop and look at your hand.
Apparently, I was playing for a good half an hour, in this time, I had caused considerable damage to my right hand, so, being wise, I went back to the drums, and continued until it hurt so much I couldn't play anymore.
I then furthered the playing by simly turning over my hand.
Which ended up in a similar state.

So, after awakening this morning, feeling the effects of the nights teqilla, I looked down at my hand and immediatly thought "Ahh...may have to goto the hospital". So I rang up work, but didn't accept my excuse, and I had to drive to work. After arriving at work, they looked at my hand and said "oh, you might want to goto the hospital". So I phoned my mother and asked her to pick me up, she couldn't taske me, so I ended up walking to the hospital on my own.

After afew xrays, it was confirmed that it's not broken, just majorly brused. So, my hand is currently twice the size of the other, and I'm regretting making this post so damn long!

So let this be a lesson, don't drink and play the bonjos!

Dicky!

PS
I have a middle finger and a left hand so, excuse the typing.

Ok, so the swelling has gone down cosiderably now, and I have some movement back in my hands, but you can still see where I've been playing too hard.
