Ladies and Gentlemen, May I have your attention please...
That bright light over yonder is not a flying spaceship, not superman, and not my neighbors florescent porch light (which by the way lights the whole friggin' cul-de-sac!)
It is Rain's smile!
I have come to realize certain things in life really dont matter. Not everything will float, not every friendship will last, not every bill will be paid on time, not every person (husband here) will forgive and forget, a slap on the cheek is far better than a fist (not talking self slapping) Not every hurt leaves a scar. Certain things dont have to weigh me down. I dont have to worry about everything, or everyone. It doesnt matter whether I am happy or sad or silly or angry, because it doesnt always last.
The mountain I was climbing was steep (so I thought). Then I found the easy path by going around the mountain. Winding my way at an even steady climb. It takes a little bit longer to get to the top, but I realize that it was safer, and a more enjoyable view.
Wish I could have shared some of the ongoings, but ahhh, who wants to be bored.
Life is good, for the moment, and I will take that.
