Is it wrong for me to feel like this?
Just to warn you that this probably sounds really lame. Anyway, I was in hospital this weekend/beginning of the week for treatment after an OD. One of the nurses whilst taking bloods managed somehow to cause a scratch leading from the needle site. It wasn't bad (but there is still a mark several days later) but she didn't even bother to apologise. I'm feel a bit p*ssed off about it. I know that arm is full of scars (aswell as more current cuts) but surely, she should still have said she was sorry. I feel as though she was taking the attitude of, well her arm is a mess anyway, but it makes me feel even more like a worthless piece of s**t.
Sorry for the rant. I know I shouldn't complain because I wouldn't have been there if it wasn't for me taking an OD. |
It's perfectly fine for you to feel like that. In a perfect world, each patient would be treated like a whole person with feelings and stuff.
It sucks, but it's perfectly appropriate for you to feel like that. |

She might not have noticed that she did it. Sorry to hear it happened though and no you don't sound lame.

Thanks for your replies and reassurance - not feeling great at the moment and question everything.
Take care! |
*Big hugs* Its understandable that your annoyed with her. She should have apologised to you and the fact that she didnt just tells me she is extremly rude and doesnt have alot of respect for people. Your not lame at all. You have given a good enough reson to be annoyed with her. I would be annoyed if she did that to me and im sure many other people would be to. Please dont feel that you dont have a good enough reason to be annoyed with the nurse because you do.
Take care best wishes Ian xxxxxx |
Agreed with everyone else.
