temptation

I was doing so well, I made it a month. Instead of fighting the urges..I gave up and took that razor to my skin. My shiny exstacy, the longing, the desire, the temptation I could not resist. So now I sit here ashamed of my newly scars...yet still Im relaxed, im calm, the longing gone.

Well done on making it a month, that's really good. I just cut too so I'm not gonna be much help to you. Try not to be too ashamed though, try think of it as just a slip up. You can still recover, you just have to keep fighting. We're all here for you. *hugs*

Well done for making it a month! Try not to beat yourself up about slipping- in a sense, it's part of the process of recovery. Have you read "Slipping Up"? you might find it useful in overcoming that. If you slip up, it's a sign there is something wrong in your support system at the moment. What do you think is going on for you, what triggered this? Maybe if you work on that you could prevent any more scars on you. There are other things you could do, try and find something physical to do, something like going for a jog or punching apillow - listen to angry music or write about how you're feeling, just try and keep yourself safe darling, you can get through this.

Like Aimee said, slips ups happen when you're in recovery. It doesn't mean that you've blown it now. Take this now and turn it into something that you can use to your advantage. Well done for the month. You should be so proud of yourself for that. Maybe when you reach a month again, why don't you treat yourself?
You can do this =)

This is the first time I have reached a month. I dont even know what triggered it, I just all of a sudden had the desire to cut and couldnt avoid it. Maybe I am weird, I dont know.

You're not weird. I get like that sometimes too. You've done well to get to a month and this is only a slip up. Start again and see how far you can get this time xxx

Congrats on a month!!! That's awesome! Everyone who quits has slip ups, it's normal, don't feel ashamed, a month is great, keep it up and try and get a month and a half next time, do it like that. xxx Keep safe.

Hey!
I guess, you should be proud of yourself anyway!
I cut myself again after being free of selfharm for 1 month and 6 days too, but hey! After all, itīs a thing to start with! The next time, I can try to make it longer!
Kiss, Liz

The only good thing about slipping up, is setting a new goal.
