Throwing up blood..
 

i have hardly been binging/purging recently... just restricting.. but today i did... and i've just thrown up blood and my chest really hurts.. hat shoud i do? or is this normal? ::scared:: *btw i have a condition of my oesophagus which means the muscle spasms are irregular and too strong (corkscrew gullet)

Was it dark blood or bright red blood?

It means it's a recent tear somewhere. You need to go to a doctor immediately if you cannot see where it is coming from. If you can look in the mirror and see you're scratched your throat, it's differnet and doesn't need emergency attention. However, if you cannot see anything, you need to see a doctor. You could have torn something in yout stomch to cause bleeding.

Red blood is often recent and from the upper end of your digestive system. It can often be a scratch on your throat. Keep an eye on it and if there is lots of it or it happens more frequently then seek medical attention. If you ever bring up dark coffee ground style vomit then you need to seek medical attention immediately as it often indicates problems lower down which will need treatment.
