I'm proud to say that I've been free from self-injury for over a year. Though I still have the desire at times, it has gotten so much easier. This summer I can wear short sleeves. That hasn't happened in a long time.

For those of you still struggling, don't give up. It's worth it to white-knuckle your way through the first 24 hours.

Congratulations! I still get urges too sometimes, but then I just remind myself of what it was like and why I stopped. I've been s.i. free for over a year as well. :) Keep it up, you are strong and you can make it.
