Allergies and Asthma
Ok well a few years ago I was diagnosed with having asthma and it it hadn't been bothering me but a few days ago I woke up with a cough and thought nothing of it. Well it's gotten worse and I was at work 2 days ago and I had a few asthma attacks and my manager was concerned.
Well my rescue inhaler is expired and my controller is too. Well my cough is getting worse and everytime I cough my chest hurts really bad. Im wondering if its more than that... I have no insurance and a trip to the dr is $75 plus any xrays he wants to do... |
Is it asthma attack or shortness of breath?
When you breath is there a crackle with it? Do you have a temperature? |
Asthma attack and when I breathe in or out its really wheezy. and I have a slight temp. of 100.1 and sometimes i cough so hard that i have to lean over to catch my breath

I know it might be jumping to conclusions here, but it sounds like you have some kind of chest infection.
I have asthma, and whenever I get any kind of slight cold I immediately get a chest infection too. If that is the problem, antibiotics should clear it up. Can you get new inhalers? I would definitely recommend a trip to see your doctor. It may be expensive, but asthma attacks are potentially very dangerous. Stay safe, Laura xx |
sounds like you might have a bit of a chest infection there.
Antibiotics are often needed to clear that up. Also make sure that you are taking plenty of fluids as it will help to keep the secretions lose and therefore make them easier to cough up. |
with asthma infections and colds and what not settle all in your lungs. Meds are needed to clear it up... i have to go the the hospital everytime i get a chest cold. So ya... go to the doctor or a clinic or something... especially if u dont have ur rescue inhaler

Sounds like a bad chest cold to me...

Having been born with asthma, and being hospitalised numerous times with severe chest infections/asthma problems, to me it sounds like you have a chest infection.
This is a build up of mucus on the chest. You may not "feel" the mucus unless you're coughing anything up, but with a course of antibiotics and another ventoline/preventative inhaler, it should sort the problem out. Sadly there is no other alternative other than to see a doctor. It's doubtful you'll have to go for X-Rays, or atleast that isn't the case here. He will merely just listen to your chest and go from there. I hope you feel better soon. x |
I talked to my mom about it and she told me to get Primatine Mist, at first I didn't think it was helping but using it for 3 days my chest is clearing up. Thursday I was coughing so hard that my muscles in my stomach and sides hurt really bad when I moved.
I'm getting better though! |
