periods so me thinks it'll be *GIRLY*
okay, hey everyone.
im not going to be graphic or anything. just a bit of a question. Background stuff: in JAnuary i had a period which was really painful. it was bang on time. In February my period was a week and half-ish late. it was really short compared to normal. March didn't see a period. April hasn't seen a period yet either [it may arrive in the next two weeks though]. in the past two months though i've put on weight and feel bloated. before this my periods were like clockwork. never failed to be late, or painless or anything. and i've been having periods since i was 12/13 and am 19 now. im not sexually active, so i know im not pregnant. im not under any particular stess at the moment. i was just wondering whether to get a check up. if get a check up wat would my doctor do?:notsure: [i HATE being touched] or should a wait another month? thanks for any advice and such. take care |
If you go to the docs, they should just talk to you about it first, suggest what could be going on and such... I don't think they'll straight up touch you lol, but maybe schedule you in for a smer test, ya'know?
I don't know if this is any help... I wish I could help more but I'm on the pill so know I'll have a period and stuff. Could just be that your body is becoming more used to the weight change and stuff? See how it goes, and if you don't have one in the next two weeks, go to the doc. Take care xx |
I don't think it'd hurt to wait another week or two to see if you're back on schedule in April if there are no other symptoms that worry you. Remember, even at 19, your body is still developing, and can play up from time to time ;)
Changes like weight gain etc. can surely have an effect on that. But I agree that a check up would be a good idea, if only to ease your worries - yes, it's not a nice prospect, but it's not as bad as you think. Doctors should be used to people having reservations, so if you go and mention that you're a bit afraid of what they're going to do, any decent doctor will talk you through that and explain the procedures - maybe that will help make you feel more comfortable. Take care, Cookie :) |
thanks guys. *offers cookies*
weight gain was after periods started going pear shaped though. D'oh. *will wait* |
