Worried about the weekend...
I'm really excited, because I get to spend some time with people I haven't seen in a year this weekend. Especially because this guy I really, really like is going to be there, and we're probably going to hook up again. He knows I have a lot of issues, and the last time we were together I hadn't cut in over a year. So I had some obvious scars, and he knows I used to cut.
The problem is that I have been cutting again, and there are some very obvious cuts on my thigh. They're healing, but still scabbed over. I know that there is no way to manage hooking up with out him noticing them, and I know he's going to say something. I don't know whether I should just avoid him (which might upset him, and he'll probably figure something is wrong), if I should hang out (and if he sees take it from there), or if I should just be up front about it (so it isn't like I am hiding anything, and won't ruin the moment later on). Any advice? I appreciate anything you guys have got. |
if he's the kind of guy that will understand, then tell him because if you do hook up then he'l see the cuts and he'l probably be like "why didnt you tell me?" i dont think you should avoid him though because then he'l probably just ask more questions. honestly, i dont know what you should do but telling him would probably be a good idea.
i hope everything goes well *hugs* soph. |
yeah, if hes understanding you should probably mention it earlier. if hes anything like my boyfriend, seeing new scars and scabs will ruin the moment completely heh. good luck..

Thanks. He is an extraordinarily understanding person, so you guys are probably right. Letting him know is probably the most reasonable thing to do. Hopefully I won't be too scared to say something, and hopefully he'll take it well if I do.

I just wanted to say that it worked out really well that I told him before he saw them. He's so super amazing.
