Fighting to survive

Whatever’s wrong, they’ll make right
Whatever helps them sleep at night
Anything the doctors will prescribe

It’s a medicated nation
There’s a drug for everything
Something else to give us wings
With all that, why would we even try?

Why should we fix things
That doctors can fix
When we can just be numb?

Desensitizing. Mesmerizing
Ourselves with what’s within.
Don’t you see that beauty comes from pain?

Nothing’s really wrong
