My poetry

This is my thread for all my poems, thread will be updated with each write.

The Night
Through the fog- a light,
Bringing forth what I thought to be,
The meaning of the night,
The spells on which it cast,
I felt would end the sorrow at last,
But the mountain is tall,
And the ocean is vast.
Through the fog- a beam,
Glowing it would seem,
A thread would yet tie the seam,
Through the light- a dream,
Drop yourself and begin follow
So convinced of meaning,
But the dream is merely hollow,
Oh the night eternal,
Dream a dream for me to swallow.
Oh the night so peaceful,
Give me a thought,
A feeling which life has yet brought,
Fall through me oh wondrous night,
Consuming all the feelings of fright.
Oh please forgiving night,
Give me a wish,
A breath of warm air,
A breath that I so dreadfully miss.
Through the fog- I see an end,
I can now lay myself to rest,
And leave my mind, the night to mend.

The Hallucinations
Destroying me,
These rotting eyes,
All I'll never be,
All that I despise,
I commend to thee,
Deathly visions,
All that I see,
Breathing slowly,
Hyperventilate,
These fears,
All that I hate,
All that I hear,
Distorted by fear,
Sinking into soil,
Melting my body,
My soul begins to boil,
Let my pain not burden your soul,
I've cause this,
I'm no longer whole,
With this destruction,
I'm in a ladder-less hole,
Shielded from the new winds that may blow,
Will I die or live again?
Even I may never know.

The Stone Heart
When I was once a child,
I would once see a day,
The green grass would sing,
Not a thought was astray,
Though something was wrong,
When he was with people,
He couldn't get along.
Hiding himself,
In his room at his home,
He played his toys,
Just himself, all alone.
Was it his sisters,
His cousins trying to play?
"No" he would plainly say,
"Please leave me alone-
"Please go away".
Why did he feel like this?
Most do not know,
Not even me,
Who that child,
I used to be.
Still I find peace,
Alone with myself,
Away from the people,
Away from disease.
Untrusting in others,
When I turn my back,
They become enemys,
Rather than brothers.
One day I may change,
Or I may stay alone,
Whatever may happen,
My heart will remain stone.

The Unrelation
A bitter serenade,
Clogs my mind,
A mans world,
Where his thoughts are blind,
An ache for compassion,
Clutters the space,
There is only blank,
Where there was a face.
Nothing is left,
Nothing is there,
Brought to his knees,
By anger and despair,
Oh the iniquity!
Oh the fear!
Or a gentle kiss,
To cover the tear.
They dance so darkly,
It's all a lie,
Might he chance the truth,
She might die,
The relation-
Was not meant to be,
I rush far too much,
Why can't I see?
This will not work,
Lets leave this go,
The real meaning for me,
Life has yet to bestow.

Nevermore
A drawn out thought,
A thought out dream,
A sightless projecter,
My mind, a screen,
The master, creator,
Make my thoughts- a mental theater,
Give me dreams,
Make not it, forgotten yore,
A moments thought- succeed,
Only this and nothing more.
The velvet drapes,
Tearing, they fall into gray,
Inviting? Dare might you stay,
An inviting breath, from it tore,
Must the past be present- nevermore.
The broken balconys- inviting?
Many a year, recieved much chiding,
To keep fixed, such a chore,
Never fixed again, nevermore.
The attrium, now-
A dreadful side show,
Grotesque pictures,
And unexplained woe,
Bleeding fists, mindless bore,
Last, not another cheerful thought,
Never one, nevermore.

The Midnight's Intro
Once upon a midnight dreary,
I sat and pondered weak and weary,
The soldiers I love went off to fight,
While I drew blood by candle light,
My eyes grew heavier as night went on,
The very source which love was drawn,
I feared the source would soon be gone,
Upon my skin the thoughts would gnaw,
The dread drew down like an eagle claw,
The fighting is done and here I sit,
With my eyes contained and a fire lit,
My mouth is full of soot and spit,
I'm feeling the space where I can't quite fit,
The despise in which I have met,
It seems now I'm inside of it.

The Sniper
I am a sniper,
Positioned in your head,
Counting down the minutes until you're dead,
Picking off the seconds, one by one,
I am the cloud that blocks the sun,
I keep a careful eye on the mind of prey,
I'm listening closely to what you say,
When the timings right I blow your mind,
Your thoughts will spin and your teeth will grind,
I will say "I'd show you more but you are blind,
you know this is only the orange rind,
my knowledge is great and that is not all,
my reasoning trickles softer than snow fall,
you will apologize and admit that I win,
if you try to argue again-
it will be from the coffin you've put yourself in."

The Canyon of Caskets Pt. 1 - The Torture
Empty,
missing one inside of me,
there's now a lonely field,
where a vista would be,
crushing lonliness,
where have all the people gone,
my soapbox stories-
are now the podium I'm standing on,
lend me your ear, just for a while,
pretend to listen-
hand out a fake smile,
give me the truth,
not what I want to hear,
my bitter songs of forlorn,
now stuck in my ear,
where have all the people gone,
was it me-
who the curse, I brought upon?
Ballistic memories,
ricochet in my mind,
all of my friends,
hidden away, where I can't find,
lost in a canyon of caskets,
a lonely boy stands unknown,
no one to talk to-
but with himself, and himself alone.

The Canyon of Caskets Pt. 2 - The Message
The valley smells of rotting flesh,
the caskets filled with maggots by the pound,
some say for the tortured spirit-
this could be a final resting ground,
the time is too early,
why am I here,
sweating from anger and fear,
I wonder through the endless aisles,
looking for my grave,
I must stay diligent,
I must stay brave,
mind stays alert,
I notice a pattern,
every grave is the same,
every epitaph says your name,
I drop to my knees and cry,
the tears melt away as they fall off my eyes,
they turn to white doves and fly to the skies,
I try to reach up and touch them,
then I see your face-
you are beautiful and shine with grace,
I then feel at peace with today,
you say "Don't worry son, it is ok,
we endure life the same,
whether you're steady or insane,
we've got to find the good in the bad,
I'll love you always and I'll always be your dad,
please don't cry my child,
please cheer up and try to smile,
I hate seeing you this way,
please try to be happy- not just for today,
live the rest of your life,
I'll always be with you through times of strife,
whether in your heart or your soul,
you should know I'm there- you make me whole,
and all your battles you thought you fought alone,
I was always there- I was right behind,
making sure you always came out of your struggles fine,
whenever you feel like you don't know what to do,
remember that I'm there-
and remember son- I love you."
I wipe my tears and smile back,
I stand up and try to get back on track,
always remembering the love I'll never lack,
because I've realized that I'm not alone,
my heart is no longer empty-
my heart is no longer stone.

The Play and the Great Castle
Prepared for the opening act,
I slowly take the stage
with sweatings hands
and my sorrow well rehearsed,
I stand before the eyeless crowd
and begind pouring my soul out
through my mouth
like words from a book,
I release my spirit-
they stay silent,
I start slipping back
vision goes black
I finally snap,
here comes the second act.

Upon the crowd I finally explode,
hate, fury and sadness fill the room,
black silohouettes scale the walls,
my eyes go white and fire erupts
from my mouth clouded in smoke,
the crowd begins to sink,
my skin starts peeling from the head down,
slowly revealing a being you've never seen,
my skin finally drops to the ground and melts
into the stage,
frenzied screams sound from the sinking crowd,
sinking slowly into nothing,
my new appearence catches fire,
I float into the air, head still facing up,
body still ablaze in burning frenzy,
the room fades to nearly black,
it's time for the final act.

Statues rise from the inferno caves,
the dead rise slowly from their graves,
from my forehead, emotions start to pour,
falling and turning into skeletons on the floor,
the curtain behind me will fall,
revealing the biggest sight of it all:
My skeletons form an ominous castle,
the stage meets the grass,
the grass meets the glass,
shattered stained glass windows
lay upon the grounds,
from the background- only three sounds,
rain, lightning and tortured screams,
through the windows you see bodies
hanging from beams,
stones make up every wall,
covered in blood and very tall,
inside the walls contain skulls,
chandeliers made of bones,
snakes slither in indentions in the stones,
the following room contains a giant statue
of a snake head, tongue laid out-
leading inside to a powerful being, you will find-
on the throne sits the ruler of my mind;
God, with his hand outstretched
holding a septer made of gold,
keeping me safe,
and my fate well controlled.

The Sanitarium Sea
I am sleepless,
Every day I drift to bed,
I cannot think,
The troubles of life fill my head,
I'm still so young,
Not a breath escaped when I sung,
"You cannot know what life will bring"
Says the people living in constant spring,
Lost at sea,
Will my bottle reach land?
Where the people laugh-
and sit in the sand,
I've said it myself-
you only live once,
It's chance you shouldn't miss,
So why am I pissing my life away,
I'm sorry dad, I broke my promise,
When will I finally pull it together,
The rope is too high to reach,
I feed off of other's labor-
a selfish leech,
Restless,
Since I saw the first eavesdropper,
I've slept with my eyes open,
Pupils shining bright-
like a shattered token,
Give me your love,
Give me your thought,
Give me a sense-
that isn't distraught,
Stuck in a sanitarium,
Only me and my heartbeat,
It's a lonely purgatory,
I've broken my feet,
Give me a helping hand,
A bleeding sign-
a hope to stand,
I'm sick of this loneliness,
I just want to reach land.

The Sanitarium Sea Pt. 2 - Welcome to Shore
I'm not falling to pieces
I'm just falling together,
reaching dock and tying the tether,
throwing away the coat I've too many times worn
watching my old soul melting in the storm,
lost and found-
feet attached to the soil in the ground
I'm a ship on the shore,
I've found myself-
prosperity once more,
so let's let the waves toss around another man-
give him my problems and take his hand
cause now I'm free and sitting on sand
just wishing you'd walk by,
dreaming of you soaring forth in the sky,
all I can think of is the fight,
a shipmate in fright,
the first mate screams,
too late it seems-
"Captain the ship is sinking!
we have to abandon ship, what are you thinking?"
next I said,
with sword pointed at his head-
"Listen mate, our war is not with men,
if I leave now I'll be where I've already been,
somewhere adrift in the sea bed made of mud-
I'm going down with my ship, even if it costs me my blood".

The Product of Vanity
You're a product of vanity,
All the one night stands-
you're pushing insanity,
Just for the hell of it
you create animosity,
But I guess it doesn't matter-
as long as you're happy,
Well it's your life anyways,
But everyone agrees with me-
that you'd better fix your ways,
Cause one day you're gonna f*** up the game,
end up with nothing and only yourself to blame.

The Angel of Death
Grief creeps over the grounds
as the mourners arrive to pay
their respects draped in black,
the rain keeps falling on their
umbrellas as they constantly look back,
over their shoulder they can seemingly
smell the rotten flesh under neath the
ground they tread,
all the thoughts of sadness anger
or happiness shot back through their ears
and out of their head,
a blackened cloud covers the sun as
the crowd hastily moves on,
hoping that if they stay happy
that the feelings would be gone,
passing the head stones all the epitaphs
start to bleed,
the ground seems wetter under their feet,
as they walk along with the priest the in lead,
the rain gets harder, the lightning gets stronger
everyone runs ahead,
a white hand reaches from the sky
and starts pulling up the dead,
the priest looks up with a feeling of terror
and becomes short of breath,
he whispers out almost without a sound
"It's the Angel of Death".

The Queen of Deception
Shut up and sit down,
let's watch the show,
your world is exploding-
and we're sitting front row,
while you prowl for a victim-
in the fog and in the gray,
you're keeping happiness away-
missing every day,
the posters around the city-
screaming your face,
you may be losing but you
can't forfeit the race,
if you choose to be mad-
show your teeth and chew bone,
forever in your life-
you will remain alone,
don't be surprised if you're hated,
you're leaving behind the
entire world you created,
you've told so many lies-
you believe they're true,
so you have to conform to cope with deception-
the lies so bigger grew:
the lies used to save yourself
have now become you,
losing our faith,
losing our connection,
you've turned us away,
The Queen Of Deception.

The Facless Ones
The last standing one,
the winner of none,
the dark deed is done,
the achiever of none,
surrender my rights,
to these armorless knights,
nazi replaces nun,
the respected of none,
are you happy now?
stand up and take a bow,
a repetitive act be done,
the talentless one,
hide your shame behind your guns,
the weaker ones,
bring out the gray,
blot out the sun,
guilt weighing a ton,
the graveyard's grass
is a brighter green,
let's dig it up for fun,
while we keep our feet
firmly planted, the
coward runs toward
The Faceless Ones.

The Ghost
Alone,
in his house of wood and stone,
he lives forever lost,
second world he cannot find
he has no hope, he has no mind,
only some can see him,
the minders of the open,
he hears a sound from down stairs: a couple eloping,
they reach the bed; he reaches out,
the womans screams, a dreadful shout,
the transparent man, unable to speak,
lost in a darkness, so scarring and meek,
silently watching his company leaving him here,
he just fades away, leaving only a tear.

The Arrival of Death
Am I going insane?
Every word spoken
seems to sustain,
in an abyss I walk,
unable to feel and
unable to talk,
no feeling in my feet,
the cold engulfs me sweet,
a blackening scar on my arm,
growing like a locust swarm,
silence no longer setting me free,
overwhelming sorrow now absorbs me,
overbearing feelings of hate,
a knowing that it's too late-
to make up for what I've done,
what I've started cannot come undone,
breaking the ground every step I take,
the feeling I once had of happiness-
now seems so fake,
a hardening of my breath,
signals the arrival of death,
with blurry vision I adorn,
finality consumes- I greet it warm.

The Pictures of Our Past
Parting from my painful cage,
I feel the fire controlling me,
all my inhibitions, my rage,
take apart your vanity,
what do you have left?
Half rage and half insanity,
encouraging our hateful bliss,
a darkened day is today indeed,
when I had myself is a day I truly miss,
where are we without ourself?
Down my beaten path,
like a dusty picture sitting on the shelf,
singing our sonnets, trying to make love last,
we're just trying to forget our broken dreams,
the pictures of our past.

The Fools Like Me
Tossed about like courage through hands,
I'm landing on beaches and treading new sands,
breath in the flame to keep the fire alive,
bracing it for the winds that'll arrive,
through the eyes of the dead I see a new life,
I will ride these streets while I'm clenching my knife,
I know I'm not the only one that's out on a try,
when I see another like me I just want to cry,
I know they're wasting away their life like me,
It's to late for myself but I hope another can see,
the last thing we need is another person like I (a mess),
I just hope they realize what they're doing before they die useless.

The Helpless Dependency
Singing a sonet so soundless,
so hopeless but sincere,
the memories I've seen,
are now but the complaints that I hear,
grip my hand so tightly it breaks,
punch out a hole in my head,
cry your tears and drink your salts,
just wishing you were dead,
laugh off the guilt,
a thousand scars are beared,
but the sun has healed the wounds,
now cursing a thought I once faired,
happiness cloaks your dependance on others,
enmity emitted through the helpless smiles,
the problems keep adding up,
neaten them up into thousands of piles,
a cursory glance around yourself,
you'll see that you're a lie,
give yourself a wishing chance,
but I just hope you die.

Alone
I am but a stone on this beaten path,
a prisoner of war facing loneliness' wrath,
I am the tear streaming down your face,
until I drop and evaporate, leaving without a trace,
content is but a rolling stone for me,
I have now become the very objects that I see,
time is passing by much too fast to grieve,
all the good times that I've had are now but a memory,
playing them back inside of my head,
telling them [to others] gives them no justice (like reading books to the dead),
even now seeing how my ambitions have grown,
(although I'm surrounded) I still dream alone.

The Killer in the Fleece
I'm sorry to say: A greivence my lady,
your husband has died,
this news of belating-
although I deliver this prominant line,
I killed your husband, and now you are mine.

This is really good, very strong and has a nice rhythm to it. These two lines were my favourites:

'I am the tear streaming down your face,
until I drop and evaporate, leaving without a trace,'
