bipolar cycling with another person?

Does anyone else cycle at the same time as other people their with? My step-sister and I are both bipolar (ironic, yes) and this has happened. I only see her every-so-often, but one time, we cycled together at the same time. It was strange, and a little disasterous. We were both on the self-destructive manic-ish side. She was a little worse than me though. Then, we both got depressed at the same time and fell dead silent almost instantly.

Right now, she's in a manic episode because of stress. It's not fun, and no one's doing jack-****. I'm scared to mention it to her.

But yes, does this happen to anyone else? Cycling with someone else?

No, I'm in the process of switching psychs right now. I see my new one on the 17th.

I figure it's quite possible because some bipolar episodes are triggered by enviromental stress/reactions. So, if a single event happens to both of you (say if you both stay up late one night, then you both become manic) or if one of you feels stressed by another episodes then the other could become manic/depressive.

I don't know directly if it relates to bi polar but generally alot of things can happen at the same time to people you are close to and relate to it's something to do with the body and sub concious things I was told. >.<
I know this isn't much help.
but it is worht mentioning to your new psych

I'm not generally around other people that have bipolar (that i know of), but my moods can be easily triggered by people i'm around.

Like last week, I've been in a slight depression anyway, but my boy came home every night just pissed and angry at everything. Even though I was having a bad time myself, I couldn't go and say that right after him. So finally on Friday, it was all rainy and gross (weather sometimes triggers me too), I got really grumpy and went into a deep depression for a few days. I'm trying to work myself out of it.

Ugh.

I didn't know episodes could be triggered by outside events. That's another thing I was confused about because it also happens to me. I thought I was abnormal or something. It's usually stress that causes me to go hypomanic, which just gives me more energy to be more stressed and I can't sit stil to do what I need to do.

Maybe my mood changed because of my sis. She had just had a breakdown (which is when her BPD started showing) and she was up and down all the time. She's on meds, but they don't seem to be helping. Mine work a little bit. I'm going to switch.

Also, I get hypo when I'm around my friend Zach. He stresses me out a little bit, even though we're good friends. There's something about him that's a little intimidating and I'm not sure why. Not like creepy or anything. It's confusing.
