*high five*

It's one of the meds I take, was just swapped to it after Clormipramine wasn't doing much. I've only taken it for about a week now and not getting tired off it which is nice. I hate feeling drugged all the time and it doesn't seem to do that.

I wish I could help more, but like I said I just started too. Good luck though mate.

I've been taking Cymbalta for a long time, maybe a year and a half. It seems to help at times. It's the best anti-depressant I've been on so far, and I've been on a lot. I'm up to 90 mg of it, though. I still get depressed, but not as bad as before.
Good luck and God bless!

Not on it personally, but I've hard a lot of good things about it. Good luck and take care.

"depression hurts. cymbalta can help."

i dont like it that much, ive had a really low suicidal period 2 weeks into taking it, and i dont fell much better

beautiful&dying 08-03-2008 03:10 PM

I've been taking it for 2 years roughly. It's not a good drug to come off but it does help me feel a bit better. make sure you take the dose at the same time each day or you'll get brain zaps. Anything I can help with, let me know.

It threw my gf in a psychotic state which went away right after she quit with the Cymbalta, so it really had no other reason than that medication...

bitzy 09-03-2008 10:40 PM

ya there like electric shocks that started just in my head but the longer i satyed off the meds they spread to the rest of my body..... so weird lol

beautiful&dying 10-03-2008 06:42 PM

I think brain zaps are the nervous system doing something crazy in the withdrawal period. I can probably find out if you like?
Marte that really doesn't surprise me. If I come off it I go psychoitic too. Looks like I'll be on this **** for life.

She was psychotic while on it but withdrawal took a lot, too, yes. Scary stuff but it doesn't mean that everybody else has the same experience, it may be good for some of you.

i've been on it for a while, and at a kind of high dosage (90mg, it says not to go above 60). I have bipolar, so I'm also on seroquel.

It works well for me, but I don't think it's strong enough.

bitzy 10-03-2008 10:45 PM

ya i think that im not on a high enough dose to be honest lol,
anyway going back to the doc soon so il c wat he thinks thanx for reply x
