Silly?
Well. It's nothing really. It's just that when I feel down I feel really bad about it and I feel like it's not real, and I remind myself that everyone feels down sometimes. But it's starting to feel like more than sometimes, and I can't stop thinking it's not real. I know that I need something to change, it's getting to be too much, but there's nothing I can do about it, because I know it's just me making mountains out of mole hills:sad: . And I'm writing this because I guess I want to believe it's real and I see it as a step in treating it as something real, and I'd appreciate any advice (though I might have been too vague or something).
Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place! |
I know what you mean about things not seeming real. If I figure out how to fix it, I'll get back to you ;)
I don't understand either of these very well, but are you dissociated? Or is it different? Knowing what's wrong would help with fixing it. As for feeling down more often, are you seeing a therapist? Maybe that could help. That's all I know to suggest- I'm really sorry I can't help more! *hugs* |
Thanks, it's nice just to have someone talk to me. I don't think it is dissociation, it's nothing soo kind of.. er.. real.
I'm not seeing a therapist, I think again the issue is that I dont feel like it (whatever I'm feeling) is real enough to actually suggest to someone that I do something about it. If I could get to one on my own that might help, but I don't really know how. And again, that would be doing something, so I don't know if I could anyway. Sorry, don't mean to moan about nothing! |
You don't need to apologize for asking for help! I wish there was something more I could do. Your age and where you live would determine how difficult it would be to see a therapist without your family knowing. I *think* that in both the UK and in the US legal guardians are always notified if a minor is receiving counseling- but I could be wrong, so you should look into that for yourself. If money is an issue, some therapists will see you for free or for a reduced fee if you explain your situation to them. Even if you don't feel that you have any reason to need therapy, that does not at all mean that you don't have valid reasons for needing it. Is there anyone in your family or at your school whom you could tell how you're feeling? They may agree with you about not needing therapy, (i disagree with them) but it couldn't hurt. I hope that helps!!! *cuddles*
