I've never posted work on here before, and this ones not finished yet...ill probs change a few things around at somepoint. But i wrote it last night and thought i'd give it a shot...


Decembers festive rain
Smashed hard againt my window pane
Shakily her voice tried to explain.

Her words they seemed to flow so slow
The candles flame burnt lower still
Lower,
Lower,
Lower

Why'd you go?

The days and weeks and months and years
You held me close, safe from my fears
I never, never thought that it would be another way

The days and weeks and months gone by
Now i know were all a lie
As the bells ring in for Christmas Day

I like this, there is something quite lyrical about it, almost musical if you read it out loud. Well, I thought so anyway. Thanks for sharing, it always takes a fair bit of courage to post work somewhere new for the first time.
